Burning Love | 2026

This project looks at ideas of ‘possessiveness’ in the context of a romantic relationship.

Typically characterised by a fear of the partner leaving, possessiveness leads to love being confused with control, and events are seen through the lens of paranoia, placing increased pressure on the partner for reassurances of loyalty.

I explored how personal agency is called into question when one person’s desire for ownership over the other increases through emotional manipulation and even violence.
